Acceleracers Collection Showcase: CJ30Luke
To this day - this is probably the most incredible collection I’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing, and on top of that - one of the best displays ever! Check out how well-placed all the items are and how sharp and clean the photos are! This is a massive collection belonging to CJ30Luke.
Some background on Luke’s Acceleracers Collection: He started actively collecting around 2014, in recent years he’s become much more involved in tracking down some of the uber-rare items he’s missing. In terms of order, he progressively collected the main sets of 35 World Race and 36 Acceleracers cars, as well as the Hyperpods and 246 Acceleracers Cards first, then became interested in Track Sets, Promotional Items, etc. His collection now features unreal aspects like every trackset, international-exclusive items, store displays, employee-only items and more! Check out the full gallery below, with his captions for each item explaining some background on them! This is truly a gem in the Acceleracers community, it’s more like a museum of all things Acceleracers/Highway 35! Shoutout to Luke for sharing, and please enjoy!
The full collection of CJ30Luke! One of the most incredible sights I've ever seen! He set the entire community on fire with this display a few years back.
Another shot of the full collection!
All 5 Highway 35 Atomix Canisters, as well as the World Race interactive learning computer (complete with mouse and mousepad) and a pack of Highway 35 pencils!
All 5 of the World Race McDonald’s Sets (still sealed), the Highway 35 Atomix car pack (in the back right corner) and even a full-size World Race Beach Towel!
Moving up to one of my favorite shelves, I have all 5 Highway 35 “Greatest” / “Super” (name depended on region) Track Sets, including a few extras! Many of these are extremely hard to find, and the Wave Rippers “Super Jump” might be the hardest Track Set to find in my entire collection! Also on this shelf are all 7 Track Set Exclusive cars, and a crown jewel of my collection, the World Race German Store Display! (more photos up next!)
Here’s a look at all 5 of the team-themed World Race Track Sets! I don’t know more than two or three other collectors in the world with a full set of 5!
Here are all 7 World Race Track Set Exclusive cars- the Sling Shot and Power Pistons came with the Ultimate Track Set, and the other 5 each came with one of the team-themed sets!
One of the crown jewels of my collection is the World Race German Store Display, pictured right in front! It’s an unbelievably detailed model which holds a few of the World Race cars, and even has a metal rail on the underside to be mounted onto a store shelf. Mine is in amazing condition, and came straight from Germany! They’re incredibly rare, and very difficult to find or import into the US!
Here are a few more close-up pictures of the Store Display! The entire piece is extremely detailed, all of the text is in German, and the volcano element is definitely my favorite section!
Moving up to the media shelf, I have a World Race Comic Book Collector’s Pack (in the back) and all three of the Gold Movie Pack Exclusive Cars still sealed! The Gold Versions of the team leader cars were only released in these Movie Packs, but the Deora II and Krazy-8s never had a gold release.
This is a look at all 4 releases of the World Race video game! It was released for the Playstation 2, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, and PC! A fun fact about these is that, at one point, I was ranked in the Top 3 in the world for speedrunning the Console / PC version! I held times for fastest completion, close to the World Record, but I stopped playing a while ago, and many more skilled players have joined the speedrunning community. Competitively or casually, I would highly recommend these games!
Finishing up the media shelf is all three Episodes and the main World Race Movie in both DVD and VHS form! There is a fourth episode known to exist, but it is incredibly hard to find, and I’ve hardly seen any pictures of it online. I’d be interested to know if anyone has it in the comments, as I’d love to see what the box and artwork look like on a real copy!
One of the first elements of my World Race collection to be completed, I have a full loose-mint set of all 35 cars! I absolutely love the graphics on each model, and they stand out to me among other Hot Wheels cars! I also have the World Race carrying case in the back, which can hold all 35 cars, comics, and tokens!
One of my favorite groups of items in my collection are all 5 Highway 35 Atomix sets! These are unbelievably hard to find and are extremely scarce online. Each set came with two cars and was themed to a specific team, and each set has a few action play features which makes it stand out! In total, there were 5 sets and 15 cars, which are all pictured here!

Here is a photo of what the 5 sets look like when combined together! They make a huge world layout, and each section connects to the others, which makes them all function together!
Onto the final shelf of my World Race Display, which contains many of my rare, unique, or collectible items! There are lots of cool pieces, so I’ll include a few close-up photos to highlight each! (more photos next!)
On the far left of the shelf, I have a Brach’s Highway 35 Zotic, the World Race Special Collector Edition Comic Book, the Highway 35 Deora I + Deora II Box Set, and the massive 1:18 Scale Highway 35 Deora II, which is an awesome piece!
In the center of the top shelf display, I have the 1 of 1000 Zed-36 (which I obtained by itself, not from a Factory Set), a World Race Lunch Box, and the 35 Years of Cool Cars Book which includes the Wave Rippers Deora II as well!
Here’s a better picture of Zed-36, which is another crown jewel of my collection! Finding one of these cars, especially without buying the full Factory Set, is incredibly difficult, and I’m thrilled to have it in my collection!
Laid out in order across the top shelf, I also have all 35 World Race Comics and Tokens! I collected most of these separately from the cars, since I didn’t open a full set, so a few were hard to find individually! They look very nice all lined up together!
Moving onto the final area of the top shelf, I have a few more rare items and a few unique promotional pieces, including the Highway 35 Zamac Set, both Highway 35 Toy Fair Cars (the Passion and Deora II), a VHS Promo Card, a few small package inserts, and on the far left, I even have a couple German Catalogs for Highway 35!
On the top of my World Race Display Case, I have the Ultimate Track Set and both World Race Slot Car sets, all still sealed! The Power Raceway (on the right) is quite common, but the Daredevil Challenge (in the middle) is unbelievably hard to find, especially still sealed in the box!
Finishing up my World Race collection, I have a cardboard topper piece which was used on Store Displays for the World Race Cars! The entire display was made of cardboard, and this top portion showcases the five team leaders and the Deora II - the item is quite large, and is definitely a neat piece of history for my collection!
Moving onto Acceleracers, we’ll start at the bottom of the case and work upwards as well. The bottom of the case houses not one, not two, but three Drone Sweepers! All three are still fully functional as well - time to recreate some scenes from the Junk Realm!
The right side holds all 8 Acceleracers McDonald’s cars (each still sealed), six different RD-06 variations (all are in fact different variations of the 2005 release!), and a Hollowback Plate which I acquired from Austria!
Moving onto the next level, I have all 3 DLX Hyperpods (Rocket Socket, Climber, and Caterpillar Crawler) which all still work! I’ve had these items since nearly the beginning of my collecting journey, so they’re definitely sentimental pieces! Lining the back of this shelf, I also have 6 Ultimate Track Packs, which included recolors and repaints of 12 Acceleracers cars. Within these 6 Packs, I have all 12 of the cars!
I also have all 3 Regular Hyperpods (Carpoon, Dual Driller, and Slam Ram) with their respective cars, as well as the Drone Combat Hauler and the Swamp Beast Set vehicle!
Moving up to my Acceleracers Media shelf, I have all 4 main DVDs, as well as the first two movies in VHS form! I also have the two movie exclusive cars (purple Spine Buster and Chrome RD-06) which were bundled with the movies too!
I also have the four Hyperpod Exclusive DVDs, including Episodes 1, 2, and 3, as well as the “Recruiting the Best” (World Race) DVD!
In the back row, I have the Official Acceleracers Soundtrack CD (which I’ve had in the collection since my childhood!) and the big box release of the movies, which includes all 4 DVDs!
In one of my favorite areas of the display, I have an area dedicated to the Acceleracers Collectible Card Game! From front to back, I have the two Quick Reference cards, the tokens from the Starter Set, the exclusive Green Synkro, the Game Rules Manual, the black Starter Set Case, a loose card pack, the German Acceleracers Quartet (on the far right), a sealed Booster Pack, a sealed Starter Set, and finally, in the green binder, my complete collection of all 246 Cards! I made a video on my YouTube channel (Luke99) going through each and every card if others would like more detail! I was fortunate enough to have completed my card collection back around 2015, where Booster Boxes (12 packs of 15 cards) were only $50! It has been unbelievable to see the market and prices grow on these cards; a full set is getting increasingly expensive and desirable!
One of the earliest aspects of my collection to become complete was my full set of loose-mint Acceleracers cars! They look phenomenal on display, and are definitely an eye-catching feature of the shelves. Behind the cars, I have the Acceleracers Car Carrying Case, which was a promotional item only available in Germany! They are quite hard to find in the US, so I’m fortunate to have two! Also pictured here (the white poster) is from the 2005 Hot Wheels Factory Set, and it included an excerpt about each of the Acceleracers Teams!
I also have a full loose-mint set of Acceleracers Gen 2 (2006) cars, as well as my second German Carrying Case! In my experience and opinion, collecting a full set of Gen 2 cars may be more difficult than completing a full 2005 set due to how scarce many of the cars can be! A few of my favorite cars from all of Highway 35 and Accelelacers were in this wave, including the Cosmic Realm Spectyte and the Stripped Metal Power Rage!
Also on this shelf is the Old Smokey Custom from (the man, the myth, the legend) Randy! It has fantastic detailing and paint work, so it’s a centerpiece of the main car display shelf! I think of Monkey and Porkchop driving into the Junk Realm every time I see it. I own many of Randy’s amazing customs, which will be seen on the top shelf!
Starting off the top shelf, I have an Acceleracers German Magazine, which includes a few scenes from the Acceleracers movies in comic form! I also have the toy which originally came bundled with it, another German Card Quartet, the Toy Fair Hollowback, and 3 different German Catalogs! Nearly every German item (and there are a lot!) in my collection came straight from Germany, which was tricky to manage with shipping, importing, etc, but they’re cool and unique pieces of my collection!
The left and center sections of the top shelf are possibly my favorite areas of my collection! In the back, I have the German Acceleracers Lenticular Skateboard! It has a Holographic print that moves when the board is tilted, and the wheels light up when it rolls- definitely one of my favorite items! In the back left corner, I have the UK McDonald’s Acceleracers Happy Meal Box and an international McDonald’s Bassline! Both of these came from overseas, and having the actual Happy Meal box with the toy is pretty neat! In the center of the display, I have the main 9 Metal Manic and Teku vehicles in their movie-accurate forms, most of which are custom! (more photos coming up!) The far left of the display holds my extremely rare (and expensive!) Acceleracers cars, including Adidas, Duracell, and Prototype models! (more pictures next!)
I have 7 Adidas Cars (TWO FULL SETS of 3 + an extra, and two are still sealed!) which are very rare and quite hard to find, as they were never released in the US. They have very nice designs and make for awesome display pieces! I also have 4 Prototype Models, which pop up on eBay from time to time and always catch my eye! They use a variety of wheels and parts, so it’s neat to see the concepts compared to the final Acceleracers models! Finally, I have 3 of the Duracell Edition Cars, which in my experience, are the rarest Acceleracers Promotional items. I have 2 of the High Voltage and 1 RD-03, and they are without a doubt, in conjunction with the Adidas and Prototype cars, some of the rarest pieces in my entire collection!
Here’s one more photo of the Promotional and Prototype Acceleracers cars- I have to emphasize the rarity and importance of these pieces since they’re so hard to find, and I’m glad to have such a wide variety!
In the front and center of the top shelf, I have all 9 main Teku and Metal Maniac cars in their movie-accurate form, as well as the Teku Deora II, Teku Slingshot, and Metal Maniacs Road Runner! With collaboration and help from Randy, the majority of these cars are custom, ranging from simple wheel or windshield swaps to full-on customs! The pictures do not do these cars justice; they are absolutely striking in person and are a true highlight of my collection- fantastic work and shoutouts to Randy!
On top of my Acceleracers Display Case, I have the two Track Sets and the only Slot Car set released! The Acceledrome is quite common, the Swamp Beast is a bit harder to find, but the Vertical Stunt Set is without a doubt one of the single rarest items in my collection. I’ve only seen it appear on eBay a few times throughout my years of collecting- I was able to find one sealed and in amazing condition!
An item too big to fit anywhere in or on the case, I have the Acceleracers McDonald’s Store Display! As McDonald’s runs both boy and girl toys, the Barbie side is an interesting addition- the Acceleracers side is stunning, featuring a cool Bassline design and the actual toy cars driving on a mountain pass! These are very hard to find, especially in presentable condition, so this is another one of my favorite pieces!
For the final item in my collection, I have an item which, to my knowledge, has only ever appeared for sale once in history. It’s an employee piece which is another crown jewel of my collection, and was one of my most recent acquisitions…
I have the Acceleracers Prototype Packing Samples! There are 6 unique pieces (the main 2005 car, a Booster Pack, a Starter Set, a Regular Hyperpod, a DLX Hyperpod, and the Swamp Beast Track Set) which all look amazing! They came in the original Mattel Sample Box, and have been protected ever since their release onto eBay. I plan on further protecting and preserving these pieces for years to come, as they are truly a one-of-a-kind item!
