The Vision/Goal of ARHub.com

eBay. YouTube. Reddit. Discord. Instagram. These are the main areas where the Acceleracers community has taken up residence over the years. There are many other small clusters of users, artists, and creators on other platforms, but the big five are where you can feel the Acceleracers pulse. eBay is the best place to buy and sell Acceleracers items, YouTube is the best place for content creators to share their work, fan edits and keep the series alive. Reddit is the largest community to my knowledge, with over 10K users (albeit most inactive), but there is a stream of posts every day, and consistent new content. Discord has a solid community as well, with people who buy, sell and trade on the platform. There are a plethora of Instagram accounts with notable followings, mainly those belonging to customizers.

However, it can be a bit overwhelming to keep up with the different groups (certain customizers and creators are only active on one or two platforms), and stuff slips through the cracks. You have to go from one platform to the next to watch content, buy Acceleracers, check out DMs, etc.

This website has several goals, the first of which is to be able to offer lower Acceleracers prices than the eBay market, hopefully by 10% minimum, to make it easier for collectors to find reasonably priced items. This feat is achieved by using other payment processors like Stripe and Paypal who have much smaller fees (more like 3-5% as opposed to eBay’s nearly 13% on some items). You should be able to pay with credit, debit, Paypal, Venmo, Apple Pay etc here.

The second goal, while a tad ambitious, is to be able to pull updates and cool posts from all of the different platforms and link/share them here for users, to reduce the need to sign up for six different apps to stay on top of the Acceleracers news. That is what the AR Creators tab is for - where I will post creator updates, latest videos etc from the different creators respective platforms in one place where you can check them out. For example - Metrometrics makes a sick new custom that he posts on Reddit? I’ll have pictures of it under the Community tab where you can see his latest work, buy from him on eBay, follow him on his socials, the whole 9 yards. The goal is to make it easier to stay on top of the pulse of the community in one place.

I won’t be able to get everything - I’m not active on platforms like Discord and Instagram, but between YT, Reddit, and email updates I get from community members, I’m hoping we can make plenty of updates for you guys.

Another feature I’ll be offering here is AH Central - this is where I’ll make written blog-style posts about events in the AR Community, cool items, amazing find stories, and rarity breakdowns to help collectors. I want this information to be as accurate as possible, so I’ll be checking with many longtime collectors on any rarity information that is posted.

This is going to be a big work in progress over the next few months, but I’m excited for the challenge of working on a new platform and hopefully incorporating a lot of even cooler stuff here for you guys. There are numerous ventures I have a hand in at the moment behind the scenes - for example AHG has been in progress for several months now, brainstorming how to bring it to fruition in a cost-effective way for you guys.

There will be consistent updates and feedback along the way, and any issues with the site - don’t hesitate to email me and I will try to get them fixed ASAP. I do work a full-time job as well as a side job in addition to ARHub, so I’m a little strapped for time, but I’m committed to making this website as useful and cool as possible.

See you guys around! - Dylan
